New New New… Next Next Next
New new new, next next next all that’s ever sold was money & sex
And I’ve never cared for either one.
Want to stay as naked as the day that I was born.
How many ways can it go?
How do the physics have to unfold?
New new new, next next next all that’s ever sold was money & sex
And I’ve never cared for either one.
Celestial bodies floating around the sun
How many ways can it go?
Turning an emerald into a black hole.
New new new, next next next all that’s ever sold was money & sex.

Maybe shaking just a little of the country dust off for this album, but still with the on-the-nose, clever, relatable lyrics, this is Esther’s most innovative album yet
P.S. really missin ol’ Matt Bell on the lapsteel James Champion

It's really DBT at their finest. Reminds me at times of Southern Rock Opera, also their mid 2000s records, other times some of their more recent albums only more polished and cohesive and better melodies, better hooks, better lyrics.
Long live DBT! bdean42
